TOURISTIC INFORMATION

Established on June 10, 1914, Iguassu Falls holds a privileged location of the Western border of Brazil, tucked into the angle formed by the confluence of Paraná and Iguassu rivers, that mark borders with Paraguay and Argentina. Its name is indigenous in origin, formed by the words: YG (water) ASSU (big): YG-ASSU Big Water. Some 183 meters above sea-level, its attractions are clustered within a lush natural setting enhanced by human hands. Here in the Land of the Waterfalls, all the splendour of its native and planted forests, rivers and lakes form an environmentally-correct setting for great shopping opportunities in three countries: Foz itself in Brazil, Ciudad del Este in Paraguay and Puerto Iguazú in Argentina.

At least in Brazil, there is certainly no other lace with so many international atractions.

Marvellous this aptly describes all that Iguassu Falls has to offer. Natural attractions such as the Iguassu National Park with its forest and falls contrast with the hight-tech efficiency of the Itaipu Hydro-Power Complex the world´s largest in unique spectacle of surprising beauty.

All these daytime attractions are offset by an exciting night that includes cassinos, restaurant, night-clubs and shows in all three countries.
