Established on June 10, 1914, Iguassu Falls holds a privileged location of the Western border of Brazil, tucked into the angle formed by the confluence of Paraná and Iguassu rivers, that mark borders with Paraguay and Argentina. Its name is indigenous in origin, formed by the words: YG (water) ASSU (big): YG-ASSU Big Water. Some 183 meters above sea-level, its attractions are clustered within a lush natural setting enhanced by human hands.
