Slimming body is not cholesterol-free guarantee
Do not be complacent if we have an ideal weight. That does not mean the body is obese have high levels of bad cholesterol, and conversely slim body free of bad cholesterol. In fact a study conducted on 1101 female volunteers, aged on average 41 years showed that 54% of volunteers expressed in the category of ‘normal weight obese’. That is, they have a body weight within normal limits, not including obesity. However, their cholesterol levels actually reached 30% above normal.
The condition of high cholesterol is making them have the same risk as women who are obese. Their susceptibility to metabolic disorders take up to 4-fold increased, while triglyceride levels increased 2-fold from normal. In addition, the possibility that they entered the stage of pre-diabetes rises to 3-fold. Plus, blood pressure jumped to 20%.
Blood cholesterol in a person primarily influenced by lifestyle, age, presence of certain diseases, and also genetic. While weight loss is not directly related to cholesterol levels. People with excess weight, do tend to have high cholesterol levels. Obesity causes impaired insulin function, which then lead to disturbances of fat metabolism. But, does not mean that thin people may not have high cholesterol. It should be understood that cholesterol is a fat that is in the blood, rather than fat under the skin. So, maybe someone has a slim body but had high cholesterol.
Genetic factors
Not only because of lifestyle, high cholesterol can also be caused by internal factors, namely genetic. Since birth, everyone already has an immune system that produces its own cholesterol, or so-called endogenous cholesterol. In some people, there is a system of his body produces high levels of cholesterol, as a congenital factor. Without eating any foods with high cholesterol, their cholesterol levels are high.
