Like a chicken and egg, kidney disease and hypertension is a circle of causality. Each other can be a cause or effect.

Blood pressure regulation by the kidneys
Kidney is an important organ in controlling blood pressure. Blood pressure is controlled in several ways. If blood pressure rises, the kidneys will increase spending on minerals and fluids, thus increasing blood volume and blood pressure returned to normal. If blood pressure falls, the kidneys will reduce the expenditure of minerals and fluids, thus increasing blood volume and blood pressure returned to normal. Through the mechanism of hormonal, kidney increases blood pressure by producing the enzyme renin, which triggers the formation of the hormone angiotensin, which will trigger the release of the hormone aldosterone.

If the kidney is interrupted
In the kidney, there are millions of tiny blood vessels that serves as a filter. If the blood vessels in the kidney is damaged, the function of disposing of waste and extra fluid from the body will be disrupted. As a result, waste and extra fluid in blood vessels increases, causing the contents of the cavity of the blood vessels increases, and blood pressure increased. Kidney damage in the cortex (outer layer), will stimulate the production of the hormone renin, thereby stimulating the occurrence of hypertension.

If hypertension
Blood pressure is the force of blood in the artery wall pressure. High blood pressure (hypertension) is the current state of the body to lose or are unable to control blood pressure, so the pressure is excessive.
